IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: 

The Lone Star Tea Party will now be meeting on the THIRD TUESDAY of each month, beginning with Feb. 19th! 

Please join us, as we once again, tackle the big issues, and the local ones, too.  In Feb's meeting we will have a guest speaker/trainer, Amy Hedtke, who will be giving us a new insight on how we can work on getting our local officials to "straighten up and start flying RIGHT"!  She is heavily involved with the various Republican clubs, Tea Party groups, and the 912 organizations, and knows a thing or two about getting organized for the upcoming City elections.  As we all know, our city & school board elections are around the corner, and the filing date begins Jan 30th!  Deadline to file to run for a city council seat or school board seat is March 1st. (CLICK HERE for all of the pertinent dates.)  As in the past two election cycles, we will be hosting one, (possibly two) candidate forums, so that you can get to know the candidates, and where they stand on the current issue affecting our city.   Oh, and there are four council seats up or grabs, PLUS our MAYOR is also up for re-election!  We need to stay FOCUSED on this!
