Comment by Sabrina Maxwell on August 16, 2012 at 8:20am I have emailed all the council members and this week I have emailed them one letter a day. Each email has been about Republic except this morning. I have gotten responses from Robert Rivera which is my representative, Charlie Parker who has answered several and yesterday told me he just enjoyed reading my emails, Lana Wolf who basically gave me a smart a** comment of "Your Welcome" (which I know she voted No) you would have to read the email to understand & as of yesterday I received my first response from Michael Glaspie. I have sent the emails to all the council members in hopes that maybe at least 2 of the 3 that voted "NO" would work on Glaspie or one of the other members to change their vote.
I am not how many remember Glaspie saying during his campaign, "I want to focus on what issues neighborhoods are dealing with and what role the city staff and city government can play to help them." I asked him basically if he was going to help the issues that neighborhoods by and large do not want or was he going to help the BIG business and do exactly what Washington does everyday to the people. I would suggest everyone ask Glaspie what he actually meant when he ran on that statement.
Last thing...The council has all been invited tonight but I invited them all today to attend the presentation on the COG. I think it would be great if more people invited them. Maybe extend it to Alicia Winkelblech. :)
Comment by Robert Mardis on August 5, 2012 at 7:21pm Mel, good letter. The main point is, there is no more money. The Green agenda is about taking money from taxpayers for feel-good projects that enrich cities and companies that avail themselves of the project. Citizens lose twice.. cumbersome new rules AND it all costs more. And then there are the privacy issues. Must fight this.
Isn't there a trash-issue meeting tomorrow night, Monday, right? I'm going to that.

I am outraged that Commicare was upheld.
